Agreeableness

How readily you forgive, yield, and stay patient.

How you handle other people's flaws and friction: forgive or remember, soften it or say it sharp, yield or hold your ground.

High

With a high score, your default is to let it go. You give second chances without keeping a ledger, judge slowly, and would usually rather find the workable compromise than win the point. Criticism doesn't spike you into defense, and irritation takes a long time to build. People relax around you, because conflict with you never escalates by accident. The cost is that patience can be treated as permission: some people will keep taking the ground you keep yielding, and a fair complaint you never voice is a problem that never gets fixed.

Low

With a low score, you keep the ledger. You notice being wronged and you remember it, you say the sharp thing while others are still softening theirs, and you don't yield just to bring the temperature down. Criticism gets answered, not absorbed. This has real uses: you hold lines that need holding, you name problems while they're still small, and nobody ever wonders where they stand with you. The cost is wear: grudges are heavy to carry, and some of the fights you win turn out not to have been worth having.

Facets

  • ForgivenessHow quickly a wrong against you stops mattering.
  • GentlenessHow softly you judge people, and how gently you tell them.
  • FlexibilityHow readily you take advice, criticism, and someone else's way of doing it.
  • PatienceThe length of the fuse, and the heat at the end of it.

Challenges about disagreeing without heat, hearing criticism all the way through, or reopening a conversation that ended badly train this dimension directly. High scorers practice saying the uncomfortable thing; low scorers practice letting one go on purpose.
