Day 1
about 5 min
Name one feeling you see today
Pick one conversation you have today — at home, at work, anywhere. While the other person talks, silently ask yourself: what are they feeling right now? Settle on one word and write it down afterward. Say nothing about it to anyone.
Day 8
about 5 min
Ask a stranger one real question
Ask one person you'll never see again — barista, cashier, delivery driver, taxi driver — a real question about their day, like "What's been the best part of your shift?" Then listen to the whole answer without touching your phone. Let them finish before you speak.
Day 15
about 10 min
Check on the quiet colleague
Notice one person at work who seems quieter or more tense than usual today. Find a private moment — kitchen, hallway, direct message — and ask: "You seem a bit quiet today. Everything okay?" Then listen to whatever comes, without digging further than they offer.
