Day 1
about 10 min
Count the compliments you hear today
Keep a tally today of every compliment you hear anyone say out loud — to you, to someone else, in a meeting, at a counter. A phone note with one mark per compliment is enough. Say nothing extra yourself; today you only count. In the evening, look at the number.
Day 8
about 15 min
Leave a review praising one specific thing
Pick a small business or an independent creator whose work you actually use — the corner bakery, a podcast, the app you open every day — and leave a public review or comment naming one specific thing they do well. Not "great place" but "the seeded loaf on Saturdays is worth the line". Post it under your normal name.
Day 15
about 15 min
Tell a friend exactly what they did well
Face to face — or on a video call if distance demands it — tell a close friend or your partner one specific thing they did in the last few weeks and what it changed for you. Both halves out loud: the thing, and the effect. "When you asked twice how the interview really went, I actually told you — and the whole week got lighter."
